Dance Instructors

Ms. Lisa

Ms. Lisa began dancing at the age of four.  She studied tap, ballet, and jazz.  Lisa graduated North Olmsted High School where she was an Eaglet and served as Captain her senior year!  Lisa began teaching dance at age 17 and hasn’t stopped since!  Lisa continued her dance training at Baldwin-Wallace and participates in continuing education opportunities on a regular basis.  Lisa pursued her dream and opened Dance FX in 2002!  Over the course of 25 years of teaching, she has led dance teams to win several first place, overall, and special judge’s awards, including Most Entertaining Dance.  Miss Lisa enjoys sharing her love of dance and her experience with both recreational and competitive dancers.  She is currently teaching jazz, musical theatre, and lyrical classes.  Miss Lisa is proud of her many students that have gone on to perform with college and professional dance teams, including the Cavaliers and Gladiators Dance Teams.  Miss Lisa has spent many years creating a supportive, fun, family-oriented environment in which a love of dance is nurtured in all of her students.  All of her current teachers grew up dancing with Miss Lisa and have chosen to return as teachers to help her achieve her goal of spreading a love of dance to as many as she can!

Ms.  Michelle

Michelle has been dancing since she was five years old.   She took one year of a combined ballet/gymnastics class at Great Lakes Gymnastics.  Michelle took a break, but returned in the third grade to begin dancing at Horizons.  She continued to take jazz, tap and lyrical until her senior year.  Throughout high school, she assisted Miss Lisa as a student teacher and began independently teaching a jazz class during her senior year.  She has been teaching ever since!  While in high school,  she also performed in multiple musicals involving many forms of dance including tap, ballet and contemporary.  While in college at LCCC she took both ballet and jazz courses.  Michelle completed a business internship at the Westlake YMCA teaching ballet, jazz, and tap.  Currently Michelle is the Introduction to Dance, Tap, and Junior Jazz instructor at Dance FX.  She loves seeing the faces of her dancers light up on stage!  Teaching dance is an important part of Michelle's life and a passion that she can't live without!

Ms. Nicole

Nicole has been dancing since she was four years old.  She has taken classes in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and hip-hop.  As a student, Nicole competed for Dance FX with recreational classes and the original Hip-Hop Company.  She and her fellow teammates won adjudications, and judge's, monetary, and national awards and more.  Following her graduation from high school, Nicole attended Kent State University where she auditioned for and eventually became captain of the hip-hop based dance team, D.Y.N.A.S.T.Y.  Nicole is entering her tenth year of teaching at Dance FX.  Over the years, she has taught many genres including both recreational and competitive classes.  Nicole has led several dancers to win substantial awards including judge’s, performance, and choreography awards, tickets and passes to conventions, and invitations to National Competitions, as well as adjudications.  She truly enjoys teaching and sharing her passion and love for dance with her students.


Alyssa George 

A Cum Laude graduate of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with specializations in Business Administration and Performance & Choreography. She is from Brunswick, Ohio, and has traveled to Paris and Rome with the SRU Department of Dance. She has presented at the CHESS Conference at Gannon University, twice in the SRU Research Symposium for D-Man in The Waters and Through Common Ground We Found Fate a rep directed by former professor Nola Nolen. She has attended American Dance Festival in Durham, North Carolina in 2017, and FORGE Summer Dance Intensive at SRU. In 2018 she performed at American College Dance Association at West Chester University and attended the Gibney Dance Experience in NYC. She has been in multiple student and faculty works in Faculty, Fall, Winter and Senior Synthesis Dance Concerts at SRU and in her senior year she put on her own independent concert discussing the research theme of story telling in dance. As a choreographer, she has had her own work performed in concerts as well. Her other interests are creating dance films and has experience in editing and archival research. She is a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, has interned in the Technical Theatre department at Dance Place in Washington DC. She has attended the Orange Grove Summer Dance Intensive in 2019 and 2020. She is currently performing and choreographing with the Cleveland Dance Project and collaboration with UpTempo Dance Studio.



Miss Nikki G

Nikki G has been dancing since she was three years old with Dance FX. This is her 20th year dancing and she is proud to have been a part of the DFX family for all of these years. Throughout her years as a student she has taken classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, pointe and musical theatre. Nikki G was also a part of the DFX competition teams for 8 years, competing with Hip Hop Company, and Senior Jazz/Contemporary. At competitions she received an 8th place overall contemporary solo award, along with multiple team awards including a judge’s choice choreography award. In addition to the awards, she has been offered admissions to many conventions and national competitions around the country. This is Nikki G’s first year teaching, while she still participates in our Adult Hip Hop and “OG” classes. Dance has always been her number one passion in life and she is ecstatic to be continuing her passion as a teacher at our studio. She truly embodies our motto, we are more than a studio, we are a family!
